Beautiful, vintage, 1913 Martin guitar. I believe this is an 0-17. It looks just like an 0-18 but in 1913 the 0-17 had a spruce top just like a newer 0-18. One of the best features of this guitar is that it has a 106 year old spruce top with no cracks. Sides also have no cracks. Another great feature is how light the guitar is, which makes it truly ring out. It weighs 2.4 lbs. The wood on it is very thin. The top and the finger board are 3/32nds" thick. This is truly a hand made guitar. This guitar has X bracing under the top. I have had extra light steel strings on it for years without any problems. The guitar has bar frets in good shape, which I assume are original. No evidence of a neck set and none really needed. The 6th string gap at the 12th fret is 4/32nds" and close to 3/32nds" ...
