Up for bid is an original scarce WW2 Japanese bayonet in good condition. Its factory sharpened 15 and 21/32 inch blade is marked with the Kokura arsenal mark. Blade maintains its bright finish and has some oxidation spots. Pommel is marked 37176 along with two characters. Handle flash area is marked with several characters in white paint. Handle steel maintains 50% of its original bluing fading to oxidation and brown patina. Pommel press-stud functions well. Wood grips, affixed with two flat rivets, have no cracks, and have some scratches. Scabbard has one dent, maintains 70% of its black painted finish, has oxidation spots, and has a welded repair.
